What to Expect on Your Service Day
Thank you for choosing Air Duct Pros, Inc.! No special preparation is needed, but please review the following information to help your appointment go smoothly.
Appointment Arrival & Communication
Your scheduled time is an arrival window, not the duration of your cleaning.
For example, a 9:00–11:00 AM arrival window means our technician is expected to arrive between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
Air duct cleaning typically takes approximately 1–2 hours per HVAC system after arrival.
Appointment Reminders: We send appointment reminders on the Friday before your scheduled service.
On-the-Way Notification: We contact customers when our technician is on the way. Please let us know whether you prefer a phone call or text message.
Preparing for Your Appointment
- Parking: Please make sure we have a place to park in your driveway or directly in front of or behind your home.
- HVAC System & Vents: We need access to your HVAC system and enough space to stand in front of each vent register. Our technicians do not move heavy furniture or fragile items.
- Equipment Access: Our 8-inch vacuum hose must pass through the closest accessible door or window to your HVAC system.
- Shoe Covers: Shoe covers are available upon request. Please let us know before your appointment if you would like our technicians to wear them.
- Drop Cloths: We use reusable drop cloths around the vacuum hose where it enters through a door or window to help prevent air from escaping the home. These drop cloths may have permanent stains from previous use.
- Pets: Please secure pets as needed so our technicians can work safely.
- Special Requests: Please let us know before your appointment about any concerns or special instructions.
Our Equipment & Cleaning Process
We use powerful gas-powered negative-air equipment and mechanical agitation to remove accumulated dust and debris from your ductwork.
Our vacuum equipment operates outside the home. An 8-inch hose enters through the closest accessible door or window to your HVAC system.
We create necessary access openings in the main trunk lines and professionally seal them when cleaning is complete.

View Our Air Duct Cleaning ProcessWhat's Included & Service Limitations
- Air Duct Cleaning: We clean the supply and return ductwork, including the main supply and return lines.
- Vent Covers: We clean the ductwork behind registers and grilles, not the covers themselves.
- HVAC Components: Cleaning the furnace or air handler cabinet, blower, and coils is not included in our service.
- Existing Conditions: Our technicians communicate visible existing damage or concerns noticed during service. We take responsibility for damage caused by our work.
- Photos: We attempt to take photos of accessible ductwork when possible, but photos are not guaranteed.
- Inspections: We provide cleaning services, not HVAC inspections. If we notice an obvious concern during cleaning, we will bring it to your attention.
- Airflow & HVAC Performance: Duct cleaning removes accumulated dust and debris. It does not correct heating, cooling, airflow, or mechanical problems.
- Debris Removal: Our equipment removes accessible debris through mechanical agitation and vacuum. Material that cannot be removed with our cleaning equipment may remain.
Dryer Vent Cleaning
If your appointment includes dryer vent cleaning, please review these limitations:
- We do not clean dryer vents that exhaust through the roof.
- We do not use ladders over 15 feet.
- We do not service vents beneath low decks.
- The dryer must be operational.
- We provide cleaning services, not dryer repairs.
